I'm a big Java fan and I love KDE. I discovered last day that the package kde-bindings from kde site contains a binding for qt and kde in java. It seems to be great !!!
But why package maintainers, who make a excellent work in general, have removed it from the pacman kdebindings package?

Maybe they don't want add depend on java? Not everyone likes java... I don't...

at one time (i don't know if that still hold true now) the code was screwed up so bad that you had to patch it to get it to compile the java sections. or it could be like mentioned already that it would require adding a java as a depend which some people may not want.
i suggest you email the package maintainer to see why it was skipped and if it was as simple as not wanting to add the java depend you could always take the time (it can take a long time to compile) kdebindings with java support in on your own.
