I removed spamassassin and update works but now I cannot reinstall spamassassin again because each other need each other

I have the same problem!
gcstar uses this two conflicting packets...
I have created a thread for it too http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=257234 (we have posted it nearly at the same time...)
I arch, you arch, he arch, she arch, we arch, they arch...

Should be OK now. I removed perl-lwp from community repo.

Snowman, but I need it to run gcstar
and maybe there are other applications that need it
what can I/we do?
I arch, you arch, he arch, she arch, we arch, they arch...

Use perl-libwww from the extra repo. BTW, gcstar depends on perl-libwww. The perl-lwp package was just a duplicate of perl-libwww with a different package name.

I know this thread is a bit old but...
If perl-libwww solves gcstar problems then why am I getting this error when I try and run it?
/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/current/i686-linux-thread-multi/auto/Glib/Glib.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr

You are using the testing repo but the glib-perl packages has not been updated yet to the new perl packaging policy. It'll probably be updated some time this week.

Thanks, I was thinking I'd probably have to recompile several things from source. I'll just wait awhile to try again.

FYI: Updated versions of glib-perl and other perl packages are now available in testing repo (x86_64 packages will be there later).
