can't login on kdm, everything else works

Hello smile
I got kde from the kdemod repo (I tried arch's official build too, just in case), problem is that from a fresh install I can't login on kdm, when I put my username and password the screen flickers and kdm's login window comes back again, and yes I actually tried choosing the kde session just in case.
I can't find too much info on the logs, this is from errors.log:
Jan 16 01:51:02 chilean kdm: :0[8640]: setgid(100) (user vmrh) failed: Operation not permitted

and kdm.log (I don't know if it's relevant or if it has something to do with it):
QSettings: error creating /tmp/0224682973/.qt
QSettings: failed to open file '/tmp/0224682973/.qt/qt_plugins_3.3rc'
QSettings::sync: filename is null/empty
QSettings: error creating /tmp/0224682973/.qt
QSettings: failed to open file '/tmp/0224682973/.qt/qt_plugins_3.3rc'
QSettings::sync: filename is null/empty
QSettings: error creating /tmp/0224682973/.qt
QSettings: failed to open file '/tmp/0224682973/.qt/qt_plugins_3.3rc'
QSettings::sync: filename is null/empty

EDIT: I checked on another computer with a fully working KDM, and this appears, too, so the only proof is errors.log sad

However, sometimes when I reboot, it works but currently I'm using gdm because it doesn't seem to have that issue.
Any ideas about this?
