exec hdparm

hi,

another noob question from me smile

i want to use hdparm to speed up my hd. i've found this doc: http://www.openoffice.de/linux/buch/hdparm.html

now i want that hdparm execute on every boot. i'm searching the complement to /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh.
init.d doesnt exists under arch. where can i put bootmisc.sh ??

I've never had to set anything at boot to keep my drives at tweaked spead... once I set UDMA mode properly, they've been turned on ever since. Are you sure you have to run it every boot?

i used to have a line in my rc.local that i applied to my dvd/cdrom drive in order to fix playback issues (for some reason it was unnecessary when i came back to using arch).

commands in /etc/rc.local are excuted just before your login screen comes up.

hm good question. i've thought i must.

but in case...
in which FILE under arch should i place my hdparm call? wink

rc.conf? hm... i can make a *.sh and throw it in /etc/rc.d/ so that this script can be loaded as daemon ...am i right with that? wink
