KDE packages.... has nothing to do with KDE4

What are the recommended packages to install besides kdebase kdeadmin kdenetwork?

pacman -S kde

that will show you all of em

I know that will show you all of them but i want to know what is essential to just running it,  I will not use the kdeoffice or kdegames.....

Zone,

Sounds like you have the minimum to go with.  You should be fine with that.  You can always install other applications / packages as needed.

NO NO NO and DEFINITELY no. Arts is recognized even by the kde developers to be outdated and buggy.
