Hi!
I would like to start xmodmap when X server starts, independently from login manager or desktop environment. Where can I put "xmodmap /etc/xmodmaprc"?
~/.xinitrc doesn't work for me.

There is no "universal" x autoload system (that I know off). Either figure out how each WM/DE does autoloading or put some hackery in your bashrc. For KDE, any executable in .kde/Autostart/ gets run at login. Gnome and XFCE both load ~/.Xmodmap if it exists so you can try linking it to there.
