Unofficial news

I just moments ago finished uploading the last of several upgrades and package additions to unofficial. 40 packages were added from incoming and 1 from my local files. As well several packages recieved upgrades or minor changes.

one of the packages that had a major overhaul was tetex there is now only one tetex package--tetex-2.0.2-2.pkg.tar.gz. this new package was completely rebuilt and includes the tetex-temf source that used to be packaged separately. Unfortunately this requires some steps on your part to install. You should first remove tetex-texmf. However, there maybe some leftover files and directories under /usr/share/texmf that may cause trouble when trying to install the new tetex package. If you should get these file conflicts you will have to manually remove these files.

sorry for the mess in the implimentation of the new tetex package but there was no clean way to do it. this new package should fix some apparent problems with missing files i was made aware of. please email me if you have any trouble with the new package and i will be sure to contact the contributor of the package to get any fixes repaired. please be specific with what, if any troubles you have though.

enjoy and be sure file bug reports if you should come across troubles with any of the new or existing packages. the more detailed you are the faster the bug will be fixed.

cheers!

Re: Unofficial news

Thanks.

Is there a list of all packages (stable and unofficial) with short description. If not, would it be posible to make a simple webpage with pack name and description.
The current ftp list of packages doesn't describe much what are available if not familar with the tarball names.
