pacman mirrorlist

I just upgraded to pacman 3.1.0-1, and the installation gave me a message with the following:

>>> The pacman.conf default file has changed. Please update your
>>> config to use the single mirrorlist, and any additional files
>>> in /etc/pacman.d/ (core, extra, etc.) can be deleted.

OK, nice, everything's been streamlined. So, I instantly did a "sudo rm /etc/pacman.d/*".

pacman has no functioning mirror list now. Was the new master list installed in /etc/pacman.d ? pacman.conf now has pacman.d/mirrorlist set as the server list for everything, which I assume is the new list. If so, where can I get a new one? pacman -Sy won't generate it.

Re: pacman mirrorlist

pacman -U ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/core/os/i686/pacman-3.1.0-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz

should put it back in /etc/pacman.d/.

Re: pacman mirrorlist

For the record, when you deleted everything in /etc/pacman.d, you deleted the mirrorlist file.

Re: pacman mirrorlist

Yeah, I assumed so. I was a bit over-eager with that rm command.
