enable special keys dell laptop?

Hi all,

i was wondering if anyone knows how to enable the special keys (volume / mediaplayer / dimming / monitor switch / etc.) on my Dell precision M65 laptop? They are not working out of the box (duh!) and it should be possible since they worked under fedora8.
