After upgrading today to the latest version of xorg-server and xorg-init Eclipse failed to load.
I troubleshooted the problem to be xorg-server-1.4.0.90-4-i686.pkg.tar.gz and xorg-xinit-1.0.7-3-i686.pkg.tar.gz. once I reverted to xorg-server-1.4.0.90-3-i686.pkg.tar.gz and xorg-xinit-1.0.7-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz things went back to "normal".
I'm posting just in case someone "out there" is wondering why Eclipse is not working today ...

I had the same problem with azureus - same solution fixed it. Bug report has been filed. It's a problem between xorg-server and swt apparently.

I deleted my cache a while back, so I don't have the old packages. Any tips?

I have the old package. If you need it get it here (I'll leave it up for a couple of days):
http://www.bigpony.com/xorg-server-1.4. … pkg.tar.gz
FWIW, it also seems that Aptana is broke after this upgrade as well. I'm downgrading now to test it out.

I decided, until the issue with these packages is resolved, not to install either of them.
In my /etc/pacman.conf I added the following line IgnorePkg = xorg-server xorg-init, however when I do a pacman -Syu this is what happens:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
warning: xorg-server: ignoring package upgrade (1.4.0.90-3 => 1.4.0.90-4)
