Hello, I have been surprised when I have seen an screenshot like this:
Yes, it is Linux with some tweaks to get it seem a MacOS. I would want to get the same Desktop.
How Can I get the same Desktop as the Screenshot? (Launch Bar and the menu bar on the top?)
Greetings

- with KDE that's fairly easy, there's an option to have the menu of KDE apps behaving like macs. but I don't know if it can have panel applets up in there too...
- but since it's kazehakase, it's gtk we're talking here, and well, I don't know gtk could do that! besides, it seems to integrate into the gnome panel... wait... the volume applet looks like the one from... xfce!?
- as for the dock, it's certainly AWN (avant window navigator)
EDIT: some more wonderings

To know recursion, you must first know recursion.

ok, one thing: AWN is the downside bar...
In KDE is easy, I have seen it...
but for GTK? I have the same question :S

I'm pretty sure that's using this applet. There are packages in the AUR for Gnome and XFCE.
Offline
1 aur/gnome-macmenu-applet 1.0.14-3
Mac-style menubar applet for gnome panel
2 aur/xfce4-macmenu-plugin 1.0.15-1
Mac-style menubar plugin for xfce panel (4.4+)
The screenshot DE looks like xfce. Try one of the above packages from aur -- I've never tried them myself so I've no idea if they work or not.

it's possible in both xfce and gnome, but you'll need to install some patched stuff, it's all in the aur anyway, and last time I tried it it worked without problems. you need to replace gtk2 with gtk2-adq and either xfce4-macmenu-plugin or gnome-macmenu-applet, I didn't try it, but even kde apps are supposed to be compatible with this.

In GTK exists a modified version of gtk (gtk2-aqd) and two plugins: for gnome-panel and xfce4-panel.

Ok, I have installed macmenubar for xfce4 and gtk2-aqd and I got it! But in the aur package tells that gtk2-aqd package is out of date. It means that gtk2-aqd will never be updated?

That dock/launcher could also be kiba-dock. There are also packages of that in the repository.
I've successfully used it with Xfce, with nothing more than Xfce's own compositing turned on too ^_^

You surely want to use Baghira:
http://baghira.sourceforge.net/OS_Clone-en.php
That one is a cloning tutorial to convert KDE into Mac OS
PD: I think baghira IS in the repos, but i'm not sure in which one...

Shameless self promotion of my own screenshot from work, a few days back-> Here.
Yeah it's devoid of the actual color-scheme and icons/buttons of OSX... mostly because I can't stand them.

Try this online step-by-step howto for Mac4Lin (for Gnome):
http://www.howtoforge.com/mac4lin_make_ … like_a_mac
It uses the previous version of Mac4Lin (v 0.3)
http://dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/m … 0.3.tar.gz
Or you can download the latest version 0.4, download all 4 of the files for 0.4:
