Hal running at 100% of CPU

Hi,

I've installed hal as a daemon and just checked my CPU usage with top.  It is stating that hal is running at 100% of my CPU (dual core so it's only 100% of one of the cores)

Is this normal behaviour?  If not is there anything I can do to set it running at the correct CPU level?
