startxgl [fixed]

Hi all- trying to get Xgl to work ( at all ) . I do a startxgl and get the "wait" mouse indefinately. I'm running fglrx. Normal startx works fine so it doens't look like a driver problem.

I have also tried

startxgl 1 gnome ati
startxgl 1 xfce ati
startxgl 1 xfce-session ati

Nothing seems to work. I just get the black screen w/ the wait cursor.

Ideas?

Ok ... fixed - DONT put Composite "true" in your xorg.conf file if you are using fglrx

hello dear users

i have the same problem as banana had...

is there any other configuration that i might haven t done?i followed the wiki and i installed the xgl but still in startxgl i receive this little clock endlessly and nothing more

is there anyone that can help me in this?
is there a file i can send in order to enlighten you?
