Hi everyone! A few of us have finally gotten things squared away and can offer you a repository to pull Compiz Fusion from.
The i686 address is
[compiz-fusion]
http://compiz.dreamz-box.de/i686
And x86_64
[compiz-fusion]
http://compiz.dreamz-box.de/x86_64
To install use the following command
Gnome or other DE users:
pacman -Sy compiz-fusion-git
KDE has been simplified from previous releases to:
pacman -Sy compiz-fusion-kde-git
Add additional plugins with:
pacman -S compiz-fusion-plugins-makebelieve-git
This installs the screensaver, freewins, and wallpaper plugins.
Please post any support questions here. As a warning the KDE packages are as of yet untested, so please please please notify me of any errors.
The repo will be updated bi-weekly (unless any major updates happen to git in between).
I'm also looking for user requests on what additional plugins I should add. Freewins++ is a must of course.
I've added packages for projectM to the repository. Instructions are on the wiki here.
x86 only at the moment.
Screenshot of the new curved expo, projectM-pulseaudio.
Special thanks goes out to paul2lv for building x86_64 and DreAmZ for hosting.

As luciferin mentioned, we're going to try to resurrect the compiz-fusion-git repository.
Feel free to offer any suggestions or requests.
Please enjoy

Wow! Thank you guys! This is great news, I've been waiting for this a long time.
Will test it out on my 64 bit Arch and see how it goes.
UPDATE: Tested and works fine on both i686 and x86_64 machines.

Thanks a lot for your work, I've been waiting for this too and works just fine in the two machines that I use. Keep up the good work

Works pretty nice in my KDEmod. Thanks!

Thank you everyone, I'm really glad that it's working well .
Let me know if you have any requests on plugins to add. I don't think it'll be much work to make a package for any extra plugins, I just don't know what most users would like to see.

Hurray! Kudos and thanks!

wow, thats the 1st time the kde-window-decorator works for me!

There was an update to the 64bit repo on Tuesday so I'm wondering why there wasn't one in the i686 as well.
I'm having some issues with the version from i686 repo occasionally causing the window decorations in my KDE to disappear.

The 64bit and i686 packages are being built by two different people. I typically rebuild on Sunday mornings (so expect an update tomorrow). Are you using Emerald for decorations? Emerald has always been unstable for me and hasn't been updated in a few months.
I'd like to know if anyone is running KDE 4, there have been some changes to compiz recently and I was curious if we have any testers?

Can we expect a new build this Sunday? I have tried to do it myself but I get some build errors with the plugin packages.

I'm uploading the new packages right now. They should be up any minute. I've done a few hours of testing so everything seems good. KDE4 support may be broken due to configuration and dependency changes (I haven't yet tested it). Let me know of any problems.
Lifty, is there anything specific you're looking for, or do you want to post your error so I can try to help with it?

It was just my emerald crashing frequently. So I tried to build it myself with your pkgbuild's but I had no success doing this because of some builderrors i got with the plugin packages. But it seems stable so far, thanks!

Could You add the package compiz-fusion-i18n-git to the repository?

I'm trying to build this package now. All it seems to install are translations for the "compiz-fusion-plugins" section. I'm currently pulling from this git tree. I'll do some more research to see if I need anything else before I release.

Thanks for incoming update

I'm sorry to inform you but I've been a little delayed in releasing a new build, as you may have noticed. There have been quite a few changes to compiz on the side of KDE3 and KDE4, so support would likely be broken if I built it tonight like I had originally planned. It'll take me a day or two to work out the kinks I think.
compiz-fusion-i18n-git has been uploaded for anyone who was waiting for it.

this repository is awesome!
it is really a pleasure to see that you compiled compiz without gnome dependencies!

Thanks a bunch!!! Works great.

I was plagued with crashes of both compiz and especially emerald with the release version from the Arch repositories. Things have been rock-solid stable since I switched to your git version. Nice job, guys!
