Firefox 3 image problem with xf86-video-ati

I have been trying to find an answer to a problem I am having with firefox 3 beta2. I know firefox 3 is beta software but If anyone would be so kind as to give this some thought!

On some websites that have images scaled to fit via html I get a black box. This issue is really noticeable on ebay. I have tried the following things to try and work this issue out.

Deleting .mozilla folder from my home directory.
Removing reinstalling firefox 3
Tested with latest nightly builds.

The only thing I found that works is changing the driver in the xorg.conf from radeon to vesa! I will be trying to attach a screenshot!

Try filing a bug report on a Mozilla bug tracker?
