I am having problems with some programs closing right after i start them. So far, this has happened with "Open Office", "Kazehakase" and "Deluge"
I do not know the command for running openoffice through the command line, so i don't know what kind of error is happening, but with both deluge and kazehakase the terminal says "Segmentation Fault"
I am running Arch (obviously ) and using XFCE4 I don't know what other information you might need, so please ask a specific question if you need more information and i will try to answer.
Thanks alot for your time
EDIT.. it has been a while since i have done an update.. I am doing that right now, and if it changes anything i will let you know

(soffice:17479): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "mist",
X-Error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Resource ID: 0x26000e8

These errors are reported asynchronously,
set environment variable SAL_SYNCHRONIZE to 1 to help debugging
and it closes

not sure but I think you have a theme engine missing..... not sure which one...gtk-xfce-engine maybe an xfce4 user may jump in...

Missing engine is gtk-engines - I had the similar problem. After installing gtk-engines and gtk1-engines the messages disappeared.
Although this caused no segmentation fault...
I hope this would help a bit.

ok.. thanks
I installed the gtk engines and when i run the program (Open Office) as root, it works fine. However, when i run it as a regular user i get this message:
X-Error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Resource ID: 0x1e000d5
Serial No: 5877 (5877)
These errors are reported asynchronously,
set environment variable SAL_SYNCHRONIZE to 1 to help debugging
so, now what
?
thanks again
