debug messages on virtual console

Hello,

I have a problem with NetworkManager debug messages 'spamming' my virtual consoles. When I hit Ctrl+F1 (for examle), I used to have a nice quiet terminal. For some unknown reason (update?), NetworkManager keeps sending messages to the virtual consoles making it really hard to edit files or doing stuff on the command line.

There's a similar/related problem. Several daemons (e.g. acpid) print debug messages and mess up the nicely formatted boot output. Output is redirected to /dev/null in /etc/rc.d/acpid, though. When I start and stop acpid from a terminal in gnome, there is no debug output. I hope this (admittedly huge) picture helps to understand what I mean.

Re: debug messages on virtual console

I ended up editing the source files and commenting out all lines triggering annoying messages. Not very elegant but at least it worked. Thanks to ABS and makepkg it wasn't all that complicated  cool.
