I noticed today that my UI fonts in are different from what it was originally using. I'm not sure what might have changed, but I've tried the following:
1) Creating a .gtkrc-2.0 as suggested here
2) Creating a clean profile (moving the .mozilla folder out of the way)
3) Editing userChrome.css
4) Using the Firefox version from Arch and then the binary from Mozilla
5) Creating a brand new user from scratch and then trying it.
All of these result in the same thing: The Firefox UI using a different font than the rest of my GTK apps. I'm seeing the same exact thing as mentioned in the post I linked to in #1, but again, the five things I tried did not fix it.
UPDATE I ended up just reinstalling Arch and that fixed it.

Or you could use firefox v3b2, available in AUR. Noticeable change is that the default theme is a GTK-theme, so it fits perfectly inside your desktop.

Thanks for the suggestions.
@bionnaki: I tried that. See my #3.
@zenlord: That was my next step. I'm just curious as to what might have changed to cause this.

Update:
Using Firefox 3, I get the same problem, regardless if I use it from AUR or downloaded from Mozilla directly. This is really, really weird as it's the only GTK app displaying this problem. I'll check on my desktop and see if it's having the same problems.

Try renaming the .mozilla folder in your home directory (it's a hidden folder) to .mozilla_ or something, then start FF. It'll clear your settings temporarily, but it'll test to see if FF is affected by a setting in that folder. To get your settings back, close FF, remove the .mozilla folder it'll create, and rename .mozilla_ to mozilla. If your fonts go back to normal, you might take a look what's inside of that folder that's making it do that.

Tried that, too, and still the same thing. What's even more weird is that my desktop is unaffected; It's just my laptop. It might have been something I was messing around with, so I may just reinstall Arch to clean things up.

I had this issue before and I think I ended up deleting /etc/fonts/local.conf to fix it. Don't ask why but all I know is I fixed it somehow.

Interesting.. that does make sense, though. I'll give it a shot and let you know.
