When looking up at my CPU monitor, one of my CPU's jumps to 100% usage, the process taking this space is gnome-appearance-properties.
I haven't loaded anything, just kept doing what I was doing before the jump.
I have tried changing themes (just on the off chance it was a theme issue), but still the jumps.
Anyone else having the same problems?

I mean no offense (and please take none), but do you know what a memory leak is? That's a program repeatedly reserving memory without freeing the same memory and thus consuming more and more memory (without actually using it) with increased run time.
CPU usage is something different.
I can't help you directly as I don't use gnome, but does it help to kill the offending process (i.e. killall gnome-appearance-properties)? Are there any bug reports in the bugtracker here or at the gnome bugtracker?

Oops sorry, often use "memory leak" to explain lots of CPU been used, my mistake.
I kill the process, but it just comes back.
