I believe ripperX depends on CD paranoia...it forced me to install it at least.
Also, some sort of message about "be sure to install an audio codec" or something of the sort would be nice, as none of its supported codecs are installed by default.
Oh, and which MP3 codec is the most HQ?

best you file a bug report or contact the package maintainer if you think that a depend is missing.

i prefer ogg to mp3 but to be honest i only use AAC right now.
