Ok, this is little bit confusing.
I have Asus A6T laptop and the website tells me this:
DDR2 533/667MHz SDRAM, 2x SO-DIMM socket expandable to 2GB
(http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=5& … odelmenu=2)
Could somebody please explain what this really means?
Can I have one 2GB memory in both sockets and have total of 4GB
or can I only have 1GB memories and total of 2GB?
And why can't I use 4GB memories? Or can I? Why/Why not?

I think this is a total of 2GB you can use. Why? Most probably the chipset doesn't support more.

You could always send Asus support an e-mail asking for clarification.

It will only support a pair of 1GB sticks. Total 2GB.
Guarantee does not cover shark bite, bear attack, or children under 5.

what is funny: for my laptop MSI says 2GB while MSI UK says 4GB :-)
