I'm new to Mplayer I'm afraid, i'm used to using VLC. So basically, I've set "ao=alsa" in ~/.mplayer/config and if I do "mplayer blabla.avi", the audio works. But if I open a video using SMplayer, I get no audio... Do they use different config files?
Here is the Mplayer command from SMplayer:
mplayer -noquiet -nofs -sub-fuzziness 1 -identify -slave -vo xv -ao null -zoom -nokeepaspect -input conf=/usr/share/smplayer/input.conf -stop-xscreensaver -wid 39845900 -colorkey 131586 -monitoraspect 1.6 -subfont-autoscale 1 -subfont-text-scale 5 -subcp ISO-8859-1 -aid 1 -subpos 100 -contrast 0 -brightness 0 -hue 0 -saturation 0 -ss 26 -osdlevel 0 -vf-add expand=osd=1 -noslices -vf-add screenshot -channels 2 /mnt/autofs/download/download/Six Feet Under - 3x02 - You Never Know/six.feet.under.s03e02.dvdrip.xvid-ffndvd.avi
I'm guessing the "-ao null" is the problem? But how do I change this in SMplayer?

Go to Options -> Preferences.

Okay, looks like smplayer has it's own config file: ~/.smplayer/smplayer.ini
Seems kind of weird audio settings etc. are in there, but they are and it's working now...

I must be blind, but I really didn't see any options there related to selecting an audio output?

It's on first (General) tab in smplayer 6.0, it's called Output drivers (Audio). I don't know whether it's the same in 5.2, but it surely is somewhere there.

Guess I am blind haha, it's right there. I was in the audio tab... Thanks!
