Alright, I'm not too sure how to word this, but my fonts look pretty bad in Firefox and Opera. I installed the gtk-qt engine and it still doesn't like me. I also did the "beautify fonts on lcds" in the wiki. Below is a picture of my problem, complete with helpful annotations written in my off hand.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Help?

command qtconfig dialog windows appears and use it for font configuration.
p.s. use www.picoodle.com/ for image hosting without advertisments.

Isn't qt config for gnome? While I have it on my computer, I swear it came when I used gnome. I'm using kde right now.

GNOME is built on the GTK2 toolkit; KDE on QT, so, no. QT is a KDE thing.

Try removing the xorg bitmap font packages (xorg-fonts-100dpi and xorg-fonts-75dpi) or you could try linking 30-replace-bitmap-fonts.conf from /etc/fonts/conf.avail to /etc/fonts/conf.d is it's not linked already.

Alright, the qtconfig fixed it. Thanks everyone!
Now if only I could get Opera to let me use kongregate.com... maybe another day.
