"system-administration" programs blocked?

Hi.
I have arch with gnome.
Have a problem with system->administration programs.(network,services,shared folders.....etc)
When i try to run any program inside it i got:

The configuration could not be loaded
You are not allowed to access the system configuration.

I think it should ask me for admin password but it doesn't.
Any one knows how to fix it?

Thanks.

Re: "system-administration" programs blocked?

The package with the authorization would be gksu, maybe double check to be sure it got installed. If it is you should be able to bring up a dialog with the command gksu and you should be able run commands with gksu [command].  If that's not working post any error messages it gives.

Re: "system-administration" programs blocked?

OK. I did:
$: xhost +
#: services-adminit opening "services" but it is empty.
also running users-admin (users and groups) - the same. The window opens empty.

This problem is pretty common.

Didn't find any solution there either.

Re: "system-administration" programs blocked?

The package with time, user+goup, etc administration is "gnome-system-tools".

Re: "system-administration" programs blocked?

B-Con, thanks.
Afer installing it i have system tools but have
the first problem:

The configuration could not be loaded
You are not allowed to access the system configuration.
a
gksu users-admin

"(users-admin:7560): Liboobs-WARNING **: There was an unknown error communicating with the backends: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)"

- and the program did opens, but empty!

gksu "services-admin" - program of services opening but it have nothing inside.
Only empty window.

Another thing. I tried to put link to "UsersandGroups" to desktop and "run as administrator" and
got Bug reporting tool. So or it give me a bug or it opens with gksu and it empty
