Hi guys.
I want to make some new Live-DVD based on Arch and using "larch" just for playing NeverWinter Nigths and it's expantion packs (SoU & HotU + CEPv2), including also the hacks for playability (NWMouse and NWMovies).
The problem right now, is that I want a basic Graphical environment for the next:
Launching the game
Launching the game in DM Mode
Launching the Dedicated Server
Open a terminal
Save the game data in a USB Stick (I will use a Bash script for this)
So any help and suggestions will be received gratefully.
Thanks ![]()

DVD is very slow..........................................
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!

Have you tried already the live-linux-gamers.net Gaming Live-DVD?
Well, it's everything but slow...
And its based on Arch...
By the way, NWN can't be put on a CD, the full installation with expantion packs use about 5.5GB
And I chose the next as a GUI:
OpenBox
Nitrogen
FSPanel

It's not slow, a CD may be faster but the DVD works fine, if not take a look at that game live-dvd I told you, it runs great, it loads even faster than an HD Installed Ubuntu...

I have a Live USB flash that loads arch in 13 seconds with 600 packages.

Anyway ..., would it be possible to be a bit clearer about where exactly you need help?

Dvd in Knoppix uses compression of two types of "cloop". It generates 9.6GB of packages. It runs slow!
Without commenting further, a DVD can handle ~3.6GB of data. Cannot fit your data on DVD especially if it is already compressed.

Hum, I already chose to use Fluxbox + FBPanel...

When I said "help", I asked for anything tyo make the Live-DVD better, this could be artwork, configurations, scripts or anything cool...
