Pacman doesnot upgrade to latest kernel

Yesterday I did a full system upgrade (pacman -Syu) and noticed that I am still running kernel 2.6.23.1-2 (2.6.23-ARCH).
Is there something that I missed?

Perhaps your mirror hasn't synced yet.  Some mirrors are slower than others.

1. Was the mirror you used sync'd to include the newest kernel?
2. Is there anything in your pacman.conf that would prevent a kernel upgrade?

3. What is the output of:
# pacman -S kernel26

kernel26 2.6.23.1-2?  That's like...really old. Like October 15 of last year. I think your mirror is dead.

Hi, was away for a few days so couldnot reply.  Here is the output you requested.

I have successfully upgraded in the past, could this be some how related to the new version of pacman?

pacman -Syu ... then pacman -Ss kernel26? does it show new kernel?
