Artsd must die
Seems like every time I kill the artsd daemon, it pops up and continues running later. How do I keep it from restarting up?

Disable it in the KDE sound preferences. I think it's "sound server" or something.
Alternatively, set it to output to pulse/esd/alsa so it co-operates with other applications.
