jackd + ardour2 + hydrogen

It's been awhile since I've last logged on here with a problem I couldn't figure out ( go Linux), but now I'm confused with a jack ardour hydrogen problem since I've updated my machine yesterday. 

Starting jackd with qjackctl seems to be fine, no errors on startup and everything looks like it's working correctly, however, now Hydrogen doesn't detect jackd as running, so no go on sound.

My second problem is now Ardour2 seg faults automatically on startup.  All of these programs were happily working together previously.  Has anyone else had any problems with the new jack or ardour or hydrogen?

Well, I've got most of my problems figured out.  After updating to the latest gcc + re-installing a few libraries, ardour2 is back up and running.   The jack problem still persists in the newest build, where Ardour + hydrogen can't see it.  However, I rolled back to Jack ver 103, and that still works.  Is anyone else having trouble with the new jackd?

One final note.  Problem is now solved.  I built the newest jackd 109.02 from the jack sourceforge page, and that cleared up the errors I was having.  Flagged the old package as out of date.

so it appears anything < 0.109.02 does not have the workaround. but Hydrogen upstream needs to reflect the port naming scheme anyway.
