I can't get my sound card working, is about the short of it.
It's a Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio, which uses the ca0106 chipset (and driver), so it should work.
alsacont does detect the card and appears to set everything and alsamixer shows the volume levels, but no sound comes out of my speakers when I play anything
Any help would be appreciated.

Im also going to use my onboard sound until the open source driver comes out but I don't want to pull it(xfi xtrememusic) out of the motherboard, will having it slow down boot times? note that im just about to install arch x64 for the first time.
thanks

This is what I know of regards to the X-Fi card...
Glad I didn't buy one.
