Xscreensaver Install

Hi guys,
I'm new to arch, but a highly experienced linux user of some 10 odd years, I run Zenwalk, on my laptop, and used to run slackware, and even contributed to slamd64 development.

However, I installed the distro yesterday, and decided to skip installing mesa with xorg, as I then installed the nvidia drivers from the nvidia shell .run script.
However, I now cannot install xscreensaver, as it causes a conflict on libgl, which is the nvidia version, and mesa, which is an xscreensaver depend, of course is not installable.

So, anyone here got a solution for this? Any way of getting xscreensaver to ignore the mesa depend, and skip over it?

Re: Xscreensaver Install

This and this should help you install mesa, and then xscreensaver.

Or, to put it another way, the '-d' switch in pacman is your friend smile
