I was able to play CS 1.6 till this day perfectly, now after I upgraded the new nvidia drivers it just crashes, downgrading to the older version of nvidia drivers didn't helped

No once I enter the game, I can't do nothing, a Microsoft Visual C++ Library error message appears.
Same problem here, don't know what's causing it....
I think I know what's the problem - The nvidia 169.09 Driver

I had downgraded to nvidia 100.14.19 Drivers, and it helped ! Just build a new nvidia package through abs and downgrade to nvidia-utils 100.14.19 {if you have it in cache} if not rebuild it from abs

Just use the native version of Heroes3 (Though it's just restoration of Erathia)

I'm using native 4.0 (Complete) without cracks or custom mods/patches... and It worked several days ago...

Hey guys, I have a same problem! Using open source ati drivers. Perhaps it has something to do with xorg update? It started for me after update to xorg-server 1.6.1.901...
