No output while booting 2.6.7

Hi,

I've compiled the kernels myself and since 2.6.7 I can't see the output on the screen while the kernel is booting. I didn't have this problem with 2.6.5 (I skipped 2.6.6).

I think it's a problem with the console, because the console screens (ctrl+alt+f1 to f6) are empty as if the fonts are not working normally I see a login prompt.

Did you compile console frambuffer support into the kernel? Is it plain 2.6.7 or is it patched?

Yes, that was the fix :-) Thanks!

I've patched the 2.6.5 kernel to 2.6.6 to 2.6.7, so it must have been the original 2.6.7 kernel. To compile the kernel, I've used the config file that worked for 2.6.5, I don't know why the console framebuffer was disabled.
