Theives!! /dev/fd0 gone!!

Got tired of slack and it's insistence on KDE, and GSB is a disaster.  So this is my first taste of Arch Linux!!

So far it's looking good, aside from some weird stuff I'll post later.

The subject says it all!:(

For some reason fd0 disappeared from my /dev directory.
This has continued through many reboot & shutdowns.

How does one go about re-creating such a thing? (block device?)

I may need to do this for my skype camera too.  Seems I read that somewhere.

Can someone explain, or point me in the right direction?

Sure would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Theives!! /dev/fd0 gone!!

tomk,

Thanks, worked immediately, although I haven't a clue why.

If it doesn't survive a reboot, at least I know what to do.

thanks again,

If you want it to survive reboot, add "floppy" to MODULES section in /etc/rc.conf.

Thanks lucke!!
"If you want it to survive reboot, add "floppy" to MODULES section in /etc/rc.conf."

Now I don't have to worry about 'pyther' anymore.

It's nailed down.
