I'm not able to reproduce this. Are you using anything from testing that might be causing problems?

I have had the same error when I was using glibc test package(NTPL enable), and recompiled pacman with test glibc. The problem sometime occurs not always, and no very clear reproducing environment, but when with prefix Rsc, it could occur.

Same problem here, pacman segmentation faults randomly appearing when running pacman -Rs (or -Rcs, -Rns, -Rnc). The only thing I have from testing is x11.
Bug report anyone?

putting s after R in 'pacman -R' is russian rullet.
I estimate that 5% of my packages segfault on this. i then do rm /tmp/pacman.lck and I'm happy again
vlc is great [the only app to do digital audio extraction in CD audio out of the box]
oh and another thing.
what happens if you do pacman -R a_PKG
and you Ctrl+C it?
is the package removed?
is it left in the middle but the package is not found in pacman -Ql a_PKG so you can't remove files by hand!
what you can do is pacman -A a_PKG; pacman -R a_PKG w/out sending SIG*
xmms calmed down with:
"babyyyy babyyyyy I'm gonna leave you.." by (led) zeppelin. in the end it says:
"I'll never gonna leave you baby"
now put baby = AL and you're ready
