Hello,
I'm trying to find out how to correct this: Qt4 linked applications (I tried Qtractor, qjackctl and qsynth), don't show directories and files in their respective file browsers.
For example if I try to open a patchbay session in Qjackctl a filebrowser dialog appears: Normally the contents of the home directory (or the working directory I can't remember) are listed and you can navigate and choose a file to load a patchbay configuration, but I don't have anything in that dialog, it's empty, I simply can't navigate or select files. Surprisingly if I explicitly write a file name or directory name that I know should be present in the current directory, it suddenly appears on the list, and if it happens to be a directory I can finally navigate into it. But then, even if the directory is not empty, I get blank window again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Paolo

Hello!
First of all, tell us what Qt4 version you have:
pacman -Q qt
Is you system up to date?
Are you using kdemod?

My system is up to date, no kdemod
$ pacman -Q qt
qt 4.3.3-4
Now the problem seems to come and go, sometimes the filebrowser is empty and sometimes (usually after a reboot) is correctly populated...I would be happy to provide all the information you need, just ask
Thank you!

Hello!
Maybe you could try to launch these application in a terminal and see if it print any errors.
Paste it here...
I use a lot of Qt4 apps and I never had you problem.

Hello again,
Thank you very much for your posts. I tried to run QT4 apps in terminal but no errors showed up even for those with the filebrowser problem. I don't know what to do eheheh
