When will you update this repo?
I can't speak for luciferin, but I have I tried to build and update a couple times.
The only problem I keep encountering is that compiz keeps "segfaulting".
Until the compiz development calms down and compiz runs, I'll won't be able to update.
Sorry:

Did you use the PKGBUILDs from the repo to build and update it? For I think 2 weeks now I'm still unable to build the emerald-git (and one of the plugins) package. It always aborts compilation with some errors.
Offline
Mind posting the build error's you're having here? I'd venture to guess that it's something to do with the KDE dependency changes. I built packages last week without segfaults. This was on a fresh install of arch, so maybe it's a dependency issue/conflict.
I'm sorry it's been taking me so long to update. I've had a hectic few weeks, but also built a new compile/testing machine! I'll try to get some new packages up in the next few hours, as long as I don't run into these segfault issues.

Nope, I don't mind Here you go: http://pastebin.ch/110
Its mostly complaining about "DECOR_smthng..." not being declared. Thanks for looking into this. You're doing a great job.

Strange, I'm going to try to reproduce it in a bit. Would you be able to go into the source and give the output of ./autogen.sh? It'd be best if you copied it straight out of the PKGBUILD so I know it's the same.

I hope I got you right. Here is the content of the autogen.sh file: http://pastebin.ch/112 and here is the hole makepkg process: http://pastebin.ch/113

New version for 64 bit works flawlessly. Thank you luciferin, paul2lv!

Yes, me too

Everything is working great except the show mouse plugin isn't doing anything.

Hey everyone! I just updated the repo, sync again for the latest stuff. Show mouse plugin is working for me now.
@Lifty: I tried to reproduce your error, but I couldn't.. I really don't know what is causing your error, my best suggestion would be to remove the entire src/ directory from where you're package is building and try it again. Oh, and make sure you've installed all of the packages as you build them, in this order:
* compiz
* bcop
* libcompizconfig
* compizconfig-backend-gconf
* compizconfig-backend-kconfig
* compizconfig-python
* ccsm
* emerald
* plugins-main
* plugins-extra
* plugins-unsupported
* fusion-icon

hi luciferin, do you mean that we can build with all the pkgbuild files in the right order you just pasted?
Offline
Well, that's the order I build/install them in, so if you're going to compile compiz-fusion yourself I'd recommend doing it in that order. Anything that's not listed could just be built last.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks luciferin, that solves my problems with the emerald package. I wasn't aware that the build/install order is that important so I just did it in alphabetical order.

I'm sorry it took so long to figure out. Great that it's working now.

Thanks so much for your great work on this. I will include your compiz-git in the upcoming release of FaunOS.

Thanks for this packages and updates

Thanks for whatever the new update had. Everything seems to be smoother and the show mouse is now working for me.

The wallpaper plugin unfortunately is not present.
Could we have a URL for the source and a PKGBUILD perhaps, so we can build it ourselves?

Never mind this post

Thanks everyone for your support.
The source for the wallpaper plugin can be found here: http://cgit.compiz-fusion.org/fusion/plugins/wallpaper/
As for a PKGBUILD for it... I'm not entirely sure how to go about it, as each plugin builds to your home folder... I've been meaning to include a package for all these additional plugins but I haven't been able to figure out a decent way to automate it.

Hello luciferin. Fisrst of all, thanks for the repo.
I have created a PKGBUILD for the wallpaper plugin and you can find it at the AUR here:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16074
I believe it can be customized for the other plugins not in the official packages.
Take a look at the PKGBUILD, and if you like it maybe you can include a binary package in your repo

A big thank you and a hug to zephyr for his PKGBUILD. I'm now building the wallpaper, freewins and screensaver plugins for x86. You can get them right now from the repo!
Run the following command to grab the new packages:
pacman -S compiz-fusion-plugins-makebelieve-git
Let me know if there are any requests for additional plugins.
