libc manpages

Hello!

What package contains the libc dev-manuals nowadays? I recall it being in the base back in the days.

Re: libc manpages

Well, you should of probably split this question into two posts....

Regarding pacman,  if you explicitly tell it to reinstall an already installed package, it now think that is what you actually want to do.  You told it to, it will do it.  It is not a bug...  (and surely you did not find it in a svn trunk!)

Re: libc manpages

Seems like I have them all at /usr/share/man/man3/ .

However, man searches elsewhere
$ ls /usr/share/man/man3/
inet_pton.3.gz

$ man inet_pton
No manual entry for inet_pton

Re: libc manpages

You probably have a file called /etc/profile.pacsave .  Move it to /etc/profile once you replicate any changes you personally made to the current /etc/profile.
