Flash Problems on Arch64 - Searched Everywhere

Ok, ive searched everywhere and cant find a solution. I followed the Wiki Guide for Flash in Arch64. Everything seems to go fine until "nspluginwrapper -v -a -i":

[robert@localhost ~]$ nspluginwrapper -v -a -i
Auto-install plugins from /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
Looking for plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
Install plugin /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
  into /home/robert/.mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
*** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libnpsoplugin.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
Auto-install plugins from /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
Looking for plugins in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
*** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libnullplugin.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
*** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libunixprintplugin.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
Auto-install plugins from /home/robert/.mozilla/plugins
Looking for plugins in /home/robert/.mozilla/plugins
[robert@localhost ~]$

I followed the guide, did everything it said for nspluginwrapper and nspluginwrapper-flash. Anyone have any ideas? This is really annoying. Sometimes it works for a few seconds to a minute or 2, then just goes blank (the flash portion).

Thanks.

Re: Flash Problems on Arch64 - Searched Everywhere

Try nspluginwrapper-ubuntu http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=14707

It has a fix for a SMP crash.

Re: Flash Problems on Arch64 - Searched Everywhere

Hmm i used the -ubuntu version and had a similar error when installing:

Auto-install plugins from /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
Looking for plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
*** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mplayerplug-in-dvx.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

Auto-install plugins from /home/seynthantx/.mozilla/plugins

But these are not related to flash..
And then I found that flash still worked until just recently when I was messing around to get the java web plugin to work on a 32bit swiftfox with lib32jdk from aur. It sounds unrelated but then flash only started working on 32bit swiftfox and not the 64bit firefox. So now i've uninstalled all the lib32jdk, 32bit swiftweasel and all the nspluginwrapper stuff before trying with java(gcc-gcj + java-gcj-compat) and nspluginwrapper again or gnash-cvs

Re: Flash Problems on Arch64 - Searched Everywhere

I'm not sure that those errors are of any significance - it looks as though NSPlugin viewer is just whining about finding some 64bit plugins.  This is the collection of "errors" that I get and flash works as well as it has ever done (the "Install plugin /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so into /home/david/.mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so" part is the key):

Re: Flash Problems on Arch64 - Searched Everywhere

^ Oh ok I see, do you have a dual core and if so are you using nspluginwrapper-ubuntu 0.9.91.5-2 which is supposed to fix some smp crashes? This is the one I installed straight away before trying the normal one. Now I think I might go back to the normal to see if I have crashes in the first place. Anyway im going to give gnash-cvs a try before coming back to nspluginwrapper.

Yeah, I get that too, now, which is weird because I didn't get it months ago. Anyway, it's nothing to do with flash, I think.

Re: Flash Problems on Arch64 - Searched Everywhere

Well, i messed around with everything a bunch. I think i tried the Ubuntu version. It seems to be working now... so far. At least better than it was. I still get the terminal errors but it seems ok so far. I guess i was experiencing that SMP crash someone mentioned, as i have a E6420 C2D at 3.2ghz. Thanks!

Well, i just experienced "A script is causing Flash to run slowly" asking if i wanted to abort it. It was the last.fm player. Oh well.

I do have a Pentium Dual Core E2180 but I'm not using the nspluginwrapper-ubuntu package (I didn't even know that it existed until I read this thread) and flash rarely crashes here - I can easily watch YouTube videos all evening without a single problem.
