Hi there,
I have a newly installed archlinux on benq a52. After some study I have enabled nearly all features of arch, except 2 (as far as I found out). One is that when boot, the system report that ACPID failed to start.
All seems fine while using, I can suspend the laptop and resume perfectly, except that I cannot HIBERNATE. If I try hibernate, screen get blanked with a cursor for sometime, then get back to desktop, like nothing happened.
I searched this forum and tried to find out something in /var/log/acpid.log, but that log is very strange, it logs every command I ran (including cat /etc/acpid.log), but no clue WHY acpid failed.
If anyone is experienced in solving acpi problems, I would be very appreciated if you could give some suggestion on next step to find out the problem (and solve it).
Thanks,
Shannon
