Hello,
I was trying to find a way to disable the delete function in gnome.
I mean the shift+del, I almost always use it and something I delete something that I still needed.
Is there a way to disable it? I couldn't find anything in gconf, only to enable the delete function.
The same thing for emptying the trash, I always do it just as a habit.
Is there a way to put a password on it or something similar?
Thanks!

you could give a try to nautilus-actions, but i don't think that would work ...

shift-del isn't activated by default, and the setting is in nautilus preferences (of course it's also in gconf, in apps/nautilus/preferences/something)

Shift+delete works on a standard install, you can include the delete command in the menu in the preferences.
Thanks canistra, going to check nautilus-actions!
Edit: nautilus-actions is for adding functions in a menu.
