Im interested in installing Archlinux onto my laptop. Ive already got XP installed on it, and im interested in finding a free program similar to Partition Magic that will let me partition my drive without losing data. I'm also using Arch on my home server, and when I used the partition program that comes with arch, all my data was lost when I repartitioned. Ive tried Partition Magic, but I cant do anything unless I pay for it, which I really cant afford to do right now.

I've never used it, but I think this can handle it:

Maybe you could try GNU Parted. You could try using it as a boot disk(http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/manu … .html#SEC7) of it. I allows you to resize FAT32 partitions, but I don't think it can handle NTFS

You can use ntfsresize.
