X and Openbox

Hello,

I've just installed Arch on a old laptop (intel celeron 650Mhz, 128mb RAM)
So i did a base install, updated the system after that and installed xorg (pacman -S xorg) with hwd (i aslo executed it - hwd -xa )

I also installed openbox (pacman -S openbox)

After that I edited the .xinitrc-file (which was emty) to exec openbox-session.
But when I enter startx i get the error no screens found hmm

Re: X and Openbox

Performance is going to suck with vesa. It might be an idea to find the correct driver for your card and use that. I haven't found a card that will only work using vesa.

Re: X and Openbox

Ok but I would imagine you could get a noticeable performance increase using a proper driver. I may be completely wrong though :-p.
