I have a Arch-linux machine in a network, the rest are windows machines.
The installation works fine; hw detection as good as Knoppix.
Installation works fine, better than gentoo and faster and sleeker than Fedora.
all works fine except the scrollwheel in my Logitech Marble wheel via usb and apart from printing.
We have a printer, HP D125Xi, connect to the network via JetDirect; no dhcp and it's adress is 192.168.1.2
I have the CUPS-deamon running, can use the web-based administration (localhost://631), can choose my printer (driver foomatic; hpijs is also installed).
But my printer seems to get no data whatever.
can anyone help?

the solutiohosn appeared tb be all to simple:
the Arch Wiki CUPS setup says (2.1) to install CUPS and Ghostscript. I didn't install the last one because I wouldn't need Postscript!.
After pacmanning Ghostscript, restaring CUPS and adding the printer again, it worked all by itself!!.javascript:emoticon(':D')
It appears that there are more Gentoo-newbies with tis problem, cause that's where I found a strong warning to install Ghostscript!.
hopes it helps other people.
