Re: pacman mirror list

run

pacman -S pacman

If you still have any mirrors working you will need to update pacman.

Otherwise put arch back in as a mirror and update pacman...

EDIT:  Sorry should have read clearer.  Check /etc/pacman.conf for the location of the mirror files...You are likely still using the older "per repo" style.  So each will have its own file.  mirrorlist will not be there until you upgrade pacman

So since I've kind of gotten around the wireless problem now, I tried proceeding with the next step:

pacman -Syu

and i guess I selected ftp.nethat.com as my mirror because i didnt want to use the arch one and i think that was the next one on the list. It keeps on saying error/not logged in, and so it seems nethat needs somekind of username/password.

Then I did:

nano /etc/packman.d/mirrorlist

to change my mirrors.. but that file is completely empty.. where do i find the ftp.nethat.com entry and change it to an appropriate mirror so I can continue?

That should be /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist by the way.
