Problem on installing printer

Hi folks,

Archlinus 86-64 2007-08-2
Printer - HP Deskjet 5740

I have cups installed and running on the system.  I'm unable to install the printer because the driver not found on adding printer.  Please advise how to install the printer and where to get the driver.  TIA

Besides cups does not start at boot.  I have to run "/etc/rc.d/cups start" to evoke it.  Please advise which file I have to edit to get cups started at boot.

Re: Problem on installing printer

Add cups to the daemons line in /etc/rc.conf to start it on bootup.
One version to install the printer is to find the PPD-file for your printer.

You may also want to look at the "hplip" package.
