I would like to invite Arch KDE/KDEmod users to see (and if you like, use it ) a theme I've made:
Download theme from deviantArt (LINK FIXED)
The "Coal" theme, in fact, are various tweaks to give a nice, dark look to your KDE.
It includes:
- Colour theme
- Domino style configuration
- Crystal KWin configurations and overlay images
- Kicker overlay imagesThere's a small installer that will help copying the files to the right places and show instructions on how configure it all.
(If you can come up with a better installer - using kcfm - it would be greatly appreciated)As a bonus, the Superkaramba widget for displaying album art on the desktop is included too.
I've been doing themes for some time (if you download themes from gnome-look.org you probably came across something I made), but this one is my first theme for KDE (while I was testing it, I couldn't stand the default theme *yuck*).
Hope you like it, it's my way for contributing back to Linux, Archlinux, KDE and KDEmod communities.
Have fun!

Beautiful. I'm almost tempted to give kdemod another try.
KDE just feels really unresponsive on this old hardware though, and I always switch back to openbox and gtk apps.

Kde4 is WAY faster than any gnome i promise. Programs start faster too.
And it should get even faster with QT4.4.
Great theme, port to kde4? ^^

Very impressive work! Although I am preferring light weight window managers such as OpenBox - this is truly amazing.
What is that application in the middle of the screen on the first pic btw?

I'll Pay You For This!
edit: spoke too soon. thought twas a new style don't fret, i still use the kicker overlay and the colouers (even though in apps the grey is so light in the input fields that it hurts the eye)! work on the colours a lil more, would be great to find the sweet spot while remaining dark.

I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

Wow, this is such a breath of fresh air!! My friend who uses KDE just tried this out, and he absolutely loves it - quote "this theme rocks!".
Keep up the awesome work! :-)
The water never asked for a channel, and the channel never asked for water.
