cd, dvd, fl change to media

just wondering why the mount location of these removable media changed, and if it's okay to change it back to /mnt without breaking compatibility with anything. All my file managers open to /mnt because I have other stuff mounted there, and it's just more convenient to have everything in one place.

Re: cd, dvd, fl change to media

You can do whatever you want, just remember you did it smile
You could move everything to media, or make some links for future compatibility.

Actually I don't know why the media directory was created in the first place: maybe they wanted to divide automountable removable medias from static medias like internal hard drives, or they want to leave mnt for devices you mount just once in a while (a linux install on linux, partitioning, geek stuff)
