Re: Adding/Removing Desktop Environments?

pacman -Rcs "wm/de" will remove the package and all dependencies.

Install all of them and try them out one by one, you will eventually find one you like. Fluxbox is a good starting point and a very nice wm. If you wan't something light, but still decorated try out E17.

Re: Adding/Removing Desktop Environments?

pacman -Rscn gnome gnome-extra will remove it completely.

KDEMOD has instructions for removing it completely. It's the same process.

If you're paranoid, look at /var/log/pacman.log.

Re: Adding/Removing Desktop Environments?

Thanks, I'm going to try xfce. I installed kdemod for my first Arch install, but have used xfce in the past. Might try E17 as well, as I've heard lots of praise for it.

***Edit***

BTW Arch rocks! Thanks to all the people that help out.
