[IDEA] Symlink support for Installer

I was trying to install Arch, so i decided to symlink the packages route to my installed Arch cache dir, but the installer complains about it, so I have to use the CD's packages and then upgrade after installation, which is a little tedious.

Re: [IDEA] Symlink support for Installer

Instead of symlinks, which don't work because the repo (on the cd) doesn't know that the new packages replace the old ones... it should be possible though for it to update....

Meanwhile, you can install using packages you have in an accessible filesystem by:

mount --bind /path/to/packages /packages

Archin (part of larch) can create an archlinux installation, and can be told where to first look for packages too...
