Hi,
I am trying to install gnucash 2.2.2 from aur using yaourt. It complains that it cannot find "slib" which I do have installed (also from the repos).

See the comments on aur page, it's said gnucash doesn't work with latest slib.
pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

Have a look at the recent comments for the GNUCash package in AUR. The latest comment:

Update again.
The maintainer of slib has updated this package. After upgrading to slib 3a5-4, there is no need anymore to do any manual action. A fresh install of GNUCash and its dependencies works now out of the box! Just keep in mind to use guile 1.8.3!

Hope it helps.

gnucash 2.2.4 needs gnucash 2.2.3 to be already installed, otherwise compilation fails:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgnc-backend-file-utils
